As the founder of The Power Rank, I am committed to giving every member the promised analytics and predictions no matter the circumstance. With the delays and cancellations due to COVID-19, this might require extending your membership.
My approach involves assigning the following weight (or months of membership) to the three core components:
- NFL predictions – 5
- College football predictions – 6
- March Madness – 1
There are 267 games in a full NFL season and about 775 games in a full college football season (FBS vs FBS games only). If you work out the math, this makes an NFL game worth about 2.5 times a college football game.
As a member, you will get this full season of football predictions and March Madness bracket advice. This will require an extension, and I intend to round up to make sure I error on the side of giving you more analytics.
The 2020 NCAA Tournament was cancelled, so any member in March 2020 can request an extra month of membership.
As of late August, 2020, it’s too early to determine what will happen with college football. Some conferences have postponed until spring with others will play this fall.
Because of this uncertainty, I think it makes most sense to figure out membership extensions in early 2021. By then, we’ll find out how many NFL games get played, and there will be some clarity to college football.
We will figure out the extension on an individual basis. Giving you a full season of analytics depends on what month you signed up. Because of this, I will ask members to opt into this extended time.
Some of you might not ask for an extension, whether you are unflinching in your support of me or a you get struck in the head by an errant Josh Allen pass and forget. I humbly thank you for supporting my work at The Power Rank.
Of course, you can always choose not to renew your membership. You can even choose to do this after requesting an extension.
Expect an email about these membership extensions in early 2021.
Thank you so much for supporting The Power Rank.
