March Madness rebounding prop – Matt Freedman of Matthew Berry Fantasy Life bet Ben Gregg of Gonzaga over 5.5 rebounds in the Round of 64. Even though Gregg only had five rebounds, Matt is not deterred.
Gregg played only 19 minutes due to foul trouble and an uncompetitive game in the second half. Matt has Gregg projected for 31.5 minutes against Kansas, as this Round of 32 game should be competitive (Gonzaga -4.5).
Matt’s model projects 7.9 rebounds, and he likes Gonzaga’s Ben Gregg over 5.5 rebounds up to -200 (-115 available at DraftKings). Gonzaga vs Kansas tips at about 3:15pm Eastern on Saturday.

March Madness points prop – Dalton Knecht has an NBA caliber offensive game. Even though he looked uninterested in scoring Thursday against St. Peter’s, the Tennessee forward had 23 points.
Knecht has averaged 21.2 points this season, but that ignores that he has taken more of the offensive load since the start of conference play. The transfer from Northern Colorado has gone over 22.5 points in 12 of last 20 games (he had 22 points in another two of these games) and averaged 24.8 points during this stretch.
I like Knecht over 22.5 points, +100 available at FanDuel. Texas versus Tennessee tips at about 8pm Eastern on Saturday.
Women’s NCAA tournament – According to HerHoopStats, South Carolina is the best college basketball team in the nation and 7 points better than 2nd ranked Iowa. Dawn Staley’s team has a 39.8% chance to win the tournament (numbers from before the start of the tourney on Friday).
Caitlin Clark and Iowa beat South Carolina in the Final Four last season and will look to spoil another season. Clark has made 38.1% of her threes and averaged 32.1 points per game this season.

Baseball betting scandal – Los Angeles Dodger Shohei Ohtani popped up in the betting world this week. ESPN reported that the superstar transferred at least $4.5 million to a bookie to cover betting losses of his interpreter Ippei Mizuhara.
While there is no evidence that Ohtani bet on baseball, there are lingering questions as Ohtani’s representatives have changed their story.
- First, they said Ohtani transferred the money to cover the interpreter’s debts.
- Then, they claimed the money was stolen from Ohtani.
The Dodgers have fired the interpreter, but many questions remain about this story.
