Podcast: The top 3 college football games on Thanksgiving weekend, 2017

By Dr. Ed Feng 1 Comment

Thanksgiving weekend always brings big match ups in college football, with playoff implications on the line. On this episode of The Football Analytics Show, I ask:

  • Which match up matters most in Alabama at Auburn?
  • Can Georgia Tech upset Georgia at home?
  • How can Michigan stay in the game against Ohio State?

David Nasternak, the impeccable sound engineer who edits all of these shows, guides me through the big talking points on these games.

What your not taking in account is Alabama injuries are to same positions. If they were missing 4 defensive starters to different positions they’d replace it with a 5 stsr. But missing 4 LBs and only have 7 on scholarship they can’t come close to replacing it. There is a big difference. LSU and Miss. St ran on them and neither have the threat of a pass gsmr. LBs make the defensive cslls. Auburn plays faster than LSzu and Miss St therefore a lot of pressure will be On the LBs getting lined up. Also the crowd will be insane. For 3 young LBs it will be overwhelming and a lot of mistakes will be made. I think it will be a high scoring gsmr. Bama scores when they have to. Will taken more deep shots.
